Landings: poems from Iceland

Harold Rhenisch

While travelling across Iceland, Harold Rhenisch discovers a language of sky, sea, wind and glaciers unchanged in 1100 years. Love poems and prayers are woven from wanderings of sheep, in the company of horses, and among elves and trolls, those old northern symbols of people being so at home on the land that it holds them up in the sky. Poems woven into shawls and sweaters to keep the heart warm in the cold bring the wanderer home.
